For many of us, this year represented meaningful change within our organizations. Leaders revisited strategies, reimagined structures, and made hard decisions to sustain their missions while accelerating impact.

In honoring the confidentiality of our partners, we do not publicly name the leaders we support. Our coaching serves philanthropists, funders, executive leaders, management teams, and emerging staff who strengthen impact across every level of an organization.

We curated gatherings, large and small, that brought people out of their bubbles, fostered trust, and dispelled divisive beliefs that lead to conflict and disconnection. By creating space for dialogue and relationship building, we strengthened civic engagement and local involvement across the region. We do this because we believe in communities where everyone shares responsibility for shaping their future.

Through 67 community gatherings, locals were exposed to opportunities to learn about local issues, share lived experiences, reflect on learnings through failures, and collaborate across differences, directly addressing the fragmentation, disconnection, and disengagement limiting community resilience.
Locals became better equipped to work collaboratively toward common goals, reduce conflict, and sustain engagement, transforming participation from a one-time activity into an ongoing, community-led practice.

We’re true believers that social impact cannot be achieved individually, but that we need the collective work of different actors to contribute to systemic change. We collaborated with grassroots leaders, social businesses, government agencies, and philanthropic leaders to work towards common agendas, build trust, and shared priorities and alignment to improve the lives of our communities.
Building and Spreading Coalitions
In 2025, our team collaborated around four specific agendas across seven social impact networks and coalitions including:
Access to the Arts through Arts Access Miami, “a music and arts education coalition-building initiative working to identify and mobilize arts and music non-profit organizations across whole communities, one feeder pattern at a time.”
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community Action through Global Shapers Community “Connecting leaders to make sense of global challenges and move the world forward together”, Opportunity Collaboration “Building sustainable solutions to poverty and injustice”, and Fuckup Nights “Breaking the taboo of failure by using it as a tool for growth in both individuals and organizations.”
Gender in Tech through Miami Tech Works “Aligning South Florida employers, tech talent, and training partners to build a sustainable technology-talent pipeline.”
Sustainable Businesses through being a Certified B Corporation, “Setting the standard for responsible business practices,” and Community Spaces Network, “Building the community spaces ecosystem across North America.”
Social connection, use of data and AI for social impact, automation for processes, impact investing, and new insights from purpose-driven business models are emerging priorities that are shaping the field.
Participation in global networks and leadership spaces reinforces the importance of capacity strengthening, shared learning, and a growth-oriented mindset focused on increasing organizational value, strengthening leadership, and expanding collaborative infrastructure.
Our work centers on strengthening leadership, trust, and shared infrastructure to make our communities stronger and drive systemic change. We invest in organizational health, inclusive civic engagement, practical tools, and cross-sector coalitions. We enable leaders, locals, and partners in impact to move from fragmented efforts to aligned action, building resilience, sustaining impact, scaling what works, and advancing community-driven solutions rooted in collaboration rather than competition.

Leadership was described as messy, collaborative, and continuously evolving, supported by mentoring and peer learning.
Skills such as ownership, initiative, empathy, and values-aligned leadership were reinforced.

Strong donor engagement includes personal outreach, acknowledgment, stewardship, and continuous communication.
Campaign planning should be year-round and relationship-focused, not event-only.

Reflection, group activities, small-group discussions, and experiential exercises strengthened connection, learning retention, and peer exchange.

A Year of Innovation
Innovation for us is not abstract; it is relational. It is rooted in listening. It is built in community. It moves and tries, and if it fails, it moves in a different direction. In 2025:
We got loud about the need for ecosystem change.
2025 marked the beginning of a new era within our social impact ecosystem. Rather than quietly navigating disruption, we named what was shifting and stepped forward with new ideas for what could be possible.
We shared bold perspectives on reinventing how we fund the for-impact sector. We pushed forward new conversations around gender and inclusion. Through the Rad Solutions Lab, we explored how modern technologies can reshape narratives, redistribute power, and strengthen the connective tissue of our ecosystem.
Our intention was not just to comment on change, but to catalyze it.
We grounded innovation in human-centered insight.
Even as we challenged systems, we stayed rooted in people. Our commitment to social innovation remained deeply human-centered, guided by the question: How do we allocate resources more effectively and equitably to meet the real needs of our community?
This commitment led to new research and ecosystem recommendations, culminating in Neighborhood Heroes Connect, a bold and intentional summit designed to spotlight the leaders, insights, and lived experiences shaping Miami’s social impact ecosystem.
At the summit, we:
Unveiled new research on the capacity needs of our sector.
Uplifted the voices of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color leaders across South Florida.
Celebrated the capacity builders, weavers, boosters, and heroes who strengthen our communities every day
Laid the groundwork for a Roadmap to strengthen South Florida’s social impact ecosystem.
Innovation, for us, is not abstract. It is relational. It is rooted in listening. And it is built in community.
Looking Ahead.
If 2025 required us to be bold, grounded, and strategic… the years ahead will require more of that.
We are stepping forward clearer about who we are, how we add value, and what this moment demands of us. We believe in ecosystems and that they must evolve with us. We believe innovation must be social and, therefore, human-centered. And we believe effective leadership and organizational efficiency are not separate from impact; they enable it.
This year was not just about adapting. It was about choosing impact with intention, bravery, and conviction.
Radical change will only happen in community. Our 2025 was made possible because people chose to show up with courage, curiosity, and commitment to a more equitable community for us all.
From grassroots leaders to partners in impact, from locals to long-time collaborators, this year reminded us that sustainable impact is built through relationships that are nurtured over time.
Our work continues to be rooted in listening, shared learning, and collective action, ensuring that the solutions shaping our communities are not created for people, but with them. For that, we are thankful to all who continue to be our radical partners.
